Client Grooming Agreement & Policies

Where every dog — tiny pups to big beauties — is treated with gentle, loving care.

💛 Our Promise

At Wiggle & Wagging Bright Eyes, your dog’s comfort, safety and happiness always come first. These policies help us provide a calm, smooth-running environment where every pet receives the time, attention and kindness they deserve.

 

📅 Cancellations & Missed Appointments

We kindly ask for 48 hours' notice if you need to cancel or change your appointment. Missed appointments or cancellations with less notice may be charged at the full grooming fee, and future bookings may require full payment upfront.

Your dog’s appointment is reserved just for them — without notice, we cannot offer the slot to another family who may be waiting.

 

Running Late

If you’re running behind, please give us a quick call. We hold appointments for 15 minutes. After this, we may need to reschedule or complete only what is possible within the remaining time.

Late arrivals can affect the calm, steady flow of the day for all dogs in our care.

 

🐶 Late Collection

We offer a 30‑minute grace period, after which a £5 late fee applies, plus £5 per additional half hour.

We always send a reminder and confirm a collection time when you drop your dog off.

 

💳 Deposits

A 50% non‑refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. Deposits can be transferred to another slot if changed 48 hours in advance.

Deposits remain non‑refundable if:

  • you cancel future appointments

  • grooming cannot continue due to stress, age, aggression, or safety concerns

Your dog’s wellbeing always comes first.

 

✂️ De‑Matting & Coat Care

Your dog’s comfort is our priority. Severely matted coats can cause pain and skin issues, so we will not subject any dog to stressful or painful de‑matting.

If matting is severe, the coat will be clipped short for your dog’s safety. This may carry risks such as redness, irritation or small nicks where matts have been tight to the skin.

We will provide full aftercare guidance, and a consent form will be required before any shave-down.

 

📸 Photos & Videos

We love celebrating your dog’s glow-up. We may use photos or videos taken during their visit for social media or promotional purposes.

Just let us know if you’d rather opt out.

 

🚫 Refusal of Services

We may refuse or stop a groom if we feel it is unsafe for your dog, the groomer, or others. Abusive behaviour towards staff will result in an immediate refusal of service.

We may use restraint equipment, which is safe and appropriate,  when needed.

Grooming fees may still apply if a groom must be stopped for safety reasons.

 

🩺 Health, Medical Conditions & Senior Dogs

Please let us know about any health concerns before the groom. Grooming can be more stressful for elderly dogs or those with medical conditions, and may aggravate existing issues.

If urgent veterinary care is required, you must give us permission to seek treatment. All veterinary costs remain the owner’s responsibility.

 

🐕‍🦺 Aggressive or Reactive Dogs

Please be open about any behavioural concerns, including aggression or previous bites. This helps us prepare and keep everyone safe.

If a groomer is injured due to undisclosed behaviour, the owner may be responsible for medical or equipment costs.

 

🐾 Accidents

We take every precaution to keep your dog safe, but minor accidents can occasionally happen, especially if a dog is anxious or moving.

We use high-quality antiseptics such as Leucillin and Trimmex for minor nicks or nail quicks.

If your dog becomes too stressed or unsafe to continue, we may stop the groom.

 

💉 Vaccinations

By booking with us, you confirm your dog is up to date with vaccinations. We may request proof to ensure a safe environment for all dogs.

 

🐜 Fleas & Ticks

To maintain a clean, safe salon, dogs with flea or tick infestations will need to be rebooked once treated.

If fleas are found during the groom, we will carry out a flea bath and treat the salon. A £20 fee will be added to your bill, even if the groom cannot be completed.

 

🤰 Pregnant Pets

For the safety of expectant mums and their babies, we do not accept pregnant dogs for grooming.

 

📝 Hold Harmless Agreement

By using our services, you agree to hold Wiggle & Wagging Bright Eyes harmless from any claims arising from conditions known or unknown prior to grooming. These terms may be updated at any time and apply to all dogs groomed with us.
